Junior Leagues of Washington State

JLWS's Vision

"The Junior Leagues of Washington State (JLWS) advocates for the well-being and needs of children while in the care of others."

JLWS is the public affairs committee through which the Junior League communicates with policy makers regarding issues of concern in the community and state. It is comprised of a senior and junior delegate, with the president and president-elect as advisors, from each of the four state Leagues in Olympia, Seattle, Spokane and Yakima.

The purpose of JLWS is to advocate in a united voice on issues important to all the state leagues and to educate, coordinate public affairs and legislative action on a statewide level, and address issues of concern to the four member leagues.

Currently JLWS is advocating for child care issues, focusing on children while in the care of others.
