NW Exchange

2010 Northwest Exchange was held on

March 26-28, 2010

at The Olympia Center, Olympia, WA

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2010 NW Exchange a successful event!  This includes league volunteers who created an action packed agenda, fun evening events, and great meals, our speakers, who provided meaningful information and opportunities for meaningful dialogue, and our attendees, who were engaged and participated fully!  Photos can be found on the Junior League of Olympia Facebook page.

 

Northwest Exchange, a training event for Junior League members from throughout the Northwest was hosted by the Olympia, Washington League on March 26, 27 & 28, 2010.  The theme for this year’s event was‘Create Your Future, helping us to focus on our future by supporting individual members to carry out their passion in the league, the league to carry out its mission in the community, and our association, AJLI, to lead us into our future. The following topics were offered during the conference.

     

·         Strategic Directions – The AJLI Strategic Roadmap, Governance vs. Management, Nominating, and Community Impact

·         Fundraising – Developing a Funding Strategy for your league, Strategic Fundraising, and Managing the $ once you have it! 

·         Technology – Using the internet and social networking to recruit and retain members and using technology to meet your league’s mission.  In addition, a technology roundtable is being organized and your league will have the opportunity to demonstrate technology used to help carry out its mission.

·         Facilitated Discussions – There was also time to network with members from other leagues and engage in facilitated discussions on member recruitment and retention, PR goals, successes and challenges, and developing and encouraging community partnerships.  

 

Every training opportunity focused on sustaining our future to continue our shared mission.  We were pleased to offer this conference to further develop the potential of women in League.
