Membership Classes
What is a New Member?
New Members are those women who are engaged in training established by the Junior League to prepare them for effective community and League involvement. Before becoming an Active JLO member, New Members attend trainings, participate in General Membership and committee meetings, and plan and implement a project to improve the community.
Active Membership
An Active JLO member has successfully completed the New Member training and is ready to become fully involved in the League. She is responsible for attending general meetings, is placed on a committee, volunteers for community projects, helps out at fundraisers, and pays annual dues.
Becoming a Sustainer
After fulfilling 5 years of active membership, you may opt to become a sustaining member. Sustainers continue to pay annual dues but have less committee and project requirements. Sustainers are a vital piece to our organization and provide invaluable support and wisdom so we can fulfill our mission.
